Need a hand? Here are answers to the questions we get most often. If yours isn’t covered, email us at [email protected].
Downloading Games
How do I download a game you review?
Click the play button or banner in the article, such as “Play Free on PC”. It takes you to the game’s offer page, where you can download the installer or sign up. The game’s publisher handles downloads and accounts, not ArcanePlayer.
Are the games free?
Most of the games we cover are free to play, with optional in-game purchases. Each review says what’s free and what costs money. Before you download anything, check the price on the publisher’s page.
Which devices do the download links work on?
Most of our game offers are for Windows PC. Some also support Mac, and the article will say so (for example, “Play Free on PC & Mac”). Check the system requirements in the review or on the official site before you install.
I’m on my phone. Can I still get the game?
Our offers are for computers, so on a phone or tablet you’ll usually see a “Copy link for your PC” box instead of a download button. Tap it to copy the link, send it to yourself (by email or a notes app, for example), then open it on your Windows PC or Mac to download the game. If a game also has a mobile version, look for it in the App Store or Google Play.
The download page didn’t open or looks wrong. What should I do?
Try pausing your ad blocker for the link, or open it in another browser. If it still doesn’t work, please report it (see below).
Reporting Problems
How do I report a broken link?
Email [email protected] with the article title or URL, the link or button you clicked, and your device and browser (for example, “Windows 11, Chrome”). We’ll check it and fix it.
An article is out of date after a patch. Can you fix it?
Yes, please tell us. Send the article URL and what changed, plus a link to the patch notes if you have one. Tier lists and guides show the date and game version they cover, and we update them after major patches.
I found a factual error. How do I report it?
Use the same email and include the same details: the article, what’s wrong and, if possible, a source. We correct mistakes as soon as we’ve checked them.
About the Site
Can I suggest a game for you to review?
Absolutely. Email us the game’s name and why you’d like us to cover it.
Do you get paid when I click a link?
Some links are affiliate links. If you install or buy a game through one, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. It never changes our scores. Our Disclaimer has the details.
How do I change my cookie settings?
Use the cookie settings button on screen to accept or reject cookie categories at any time. Our Privacy Policy explains what each category does.
