About

ArcanePlayer is a gaming site for people who want to know whether a game is worth their time before they install it. We cover gacha RPGs, MMO strategy games, military shooters and other RPGs, with reviews, beginner guides and tier lists.

Who We Are

Everything on ArcanePlayer is written and edited by the Arcane Team. We research every game we cover from official sources, patch notes, store pages and player communities, and we test games hands-on when possible. Our goal is simple: give you clear, checked information so you can decide whether a game is worth installing and how to get started.

What We Cover

  • Gacha RPGs: pulls, banners, team building and which characters are worth your resources
  • MMO Strategy: base building, alliances, long-term progression and spending traps
  • Military Shooters: tanks, jets, ships and squad shooters, from first match to late-game grind
  • RPG & Other: collection RPGs and anything else we think deserves a look

For most games we publish three articles: a review, a beginner guide and a tier list. They link to each other, so you can go from “should I play this?” to “what do I do first?” in a couple of clicks.

How We Review Games

  • Research first, hands-on when possible. Every article starts with official sources, patch notes, store pages and player communities. When we can, we also test the game ourselves.
  • Checked facts. Before we publish, we check versions, prices, platforms and system requirements against official sites, patch notes and store pages.
  • Honest about money. Most of the games we cover are free to play. We say clearly what the shop sells, what’s worth buying and what isn’t.
  • Pros and cons. Every review lists both. If a game has a brutal grind or an aggressive store, you’ll read about it here.
  • Updated after patches. Tier lists and guides show the date and the game version they were written for, and we revisit them after major updates.

How We Make Money

ArcanePlayer is free to read. We earn money through affiliate links: some of the buttons and banners on the site point to game offers through our partner AfBooster, mostly for Windows PC. If you install or buy a game through one of these links, we may earn a commission. It costs you nothing extra.

Affiliate deals never decide a game’s score or its place in a tier list. A game we earn from can still get a low rating, and we’ll still tell you to skip its worst bundles. Our Disclaimer has the full details.
